that's right, I have a vox!
...
HI VOX.
I wrote a long, musey post in my eljay about what I'm doing at uni, but the non-censored versions goes like this:
SHUT THE FUCK UP. You have no right to comment on my study practices, why I'm doing a particular course or why I'm not doing all the readings.
YOU FAILED AND DROPPED OUT OF UNI THE FIRST TIME ROUND, YOU ARROGANT LITTLE SHIT.
I like this guy, I do, he's a fantastic friend, but he needs to step the fuck off. My life, fucker. Don't go imposing your little "Oh, why are you at uni if you aren't aiming for sevens and honours and a life of academia?" manifesto on me, you fucktool.
FUCK YOU.
---Apologies for the caps. I'm really pissed off. And best of all, no one RL knows of this blog, so I can say whatever the hell I like.
I have university classes from 12pm until 3pm on Monday, so I tend to come in a bit early and buy a coffee, read the local street press, or catch up on my readings for my MUSC2700 course at 12.
I really like the Mr. Beans coffee places at UQ, but I miss the little cart that used to be outside the biology refec. I'd get a tall latte with hazelnut (double-shot if it was a bad day), sit out on the beautifully manicured lawns outside the Mayne Centre - one of the only green patches left on campus, incidentally - and watch the wood-ducks and the world go by.
Also, the current top-deck (blonde on top, dark underneath) look in a badly-cut attempt at layers? gross.
University is one of the best places to people-watch, and I'm going to miss that a lot when I graduate. Of course, a number of my friends will still be students, I imagine I'll be there fairly frequently, but it won't be the same.
first of all, cheers to lydia_petze for setting me up with this gig.
this webpage looks hilariously like a microsoft word document. and i'm ready for bed.
i don't know what i'll be using this thing for, but it'll be nice to be one of the cool kids with a clunky vox account. :D probably for ranting about uni.
sleep!
